Square Enix makes a free MMO PVP game? For Real?

Ok, here's the backstory.

"There I am, surfing the web, reading feeds and leaving comments on my favorite sites. And lo and behold, there is a banner ad that says "Free to play MMO" well, ok I think. I have seen over 9000 of these things through the years whateve... wait, that says Square Enix... WTF?"

Three days later I am out of a game induced coma and blown away. Fantasy Earth Zero has just become one of my main games for the year, I can tell. Granted the graphics are not the best in the world, but man is this game just down right FUN. 100 player zones, 50 vs 50 team fights on a massive scale. Knights, Giants, Dragons, Wraiths and Chimera's litter the battlefields and losing is more fun than winning (well... maybe not *more* fun).

I highly recommend checking out this game, it is currently in open beta and sign ups are open to all. It is even a relatively small download compared with other games being released currently.

Oh, and be sure you play the tutorial all the way through before getting into a war with other people. There are a lot of unique things going on in this game and you need to be aware of them or the actual war will be overwhelming and potentially a turn off. Plus, it only takes about an hour and you leave the tutorial at level 16 (40 is the level limit so I understand)with better than starter gear.
