Playing the field

As a gamer, I have a short short attention spa SHINY! (Ebil Grin)

So it is not uncommon for me to play 2 games at a time, normally one is an online competitive game and the other is more of a rpg where you build up a character over time.

For instance, during my heyday as a gamer I would play Quake 3 and Diablo 2. Do a few Mephisto runs then go play some Thunderstruck for an hour or so. This has continued until the preset day, with some exceptions of course (I am referring to that whole year I did nothing but play Guild Wars :)

My current two games are still League of Legends and Fantasy Earth Zero though, I get the full fledged competitive aspect from League of Legends. And Fantasy Earth Zero gives me both progression AND competition (a rarity I must say).

One of the best benefits to this of course is I never have "down time". Whenever one game is running maintenance or pushing an update out the other one is typically available.

The best bonus though is not getting burned out on either game. It's happened to the best of us, you play a game with fervent passion for months or years on end and then one day you wake up and are just so tired and fed up with all the little bugs and squabbles that you just stop playing. Possibly even going so far as to uninstall the game.

Having two main games at a time kind of keeps this in check, I recently began to get very frustrated with League of Legends (mostly the community) so I took a step back and ended up playing Fantasy Earth Zero exclusively for the last couple weeks. Which is good I needed to grind some more levels so I can start equipping the better gear.

Here is hoping that I can continue with these two games before getting side trac SHINY!! (DBL EBIL GRN)
